Hello everyone!! Thank you for the interest in Module, we're really excited to open and get to trading with you all!! I think all pending tasks have been cleared out, so we're ready to start with our tentative opening schedule. I checked my planning documents and they were started at the very beginning of 2023, I can't believe the full opening is almost here...

We're thinking about a three-stage opening process so that we can make sure everything is as smooth as possible.

Schedule

• First is the donations phase - that's active right now! The Dreamwidth community is open, and our pages for early deck donations and early graphics donations are up and ready to go. Both donation rewards and donation limits are increased for this phase, so check out the comments in the DW post for more. This will also help us determine interest and see how many staff members we will need to hire. This phase is projected to last until July 27.
• Next is the prejoin phase, which is the classic prejoin period for TCGs. We'll be posting in the DW community with simple games in the lead-up to release. Additionally, you'll be able to register for an account on the site, get your member card and starter pack, etc at this point, though the games section and services will not be open yet. This phase will last until the grand opening.
• Finally, our grand opening, which is projected to be August 10. We thought it would be cute to open during Miku's birthday month, and Lita noted that 10 is 01 backwards which matches Miku's character vocal product code, so it seemed like a fitting day. Of course, we'll have a simple celebration for her actual anniversary of 8/31, so please look forward to it!

All of this is still tentative - we're hoping to stay on schedule but please forgive us if we run a little behind, especially if we need to squash some bugs on the site. I've added a lot of code to support Module's systems, and I guarantee something will break... so the account registration will be a test-run of sorts.

Final Notes

Right now we're aiming to open with the 50 decks already "released" on the site, plus additional decks that will depend on the number of donations we receive. You'll be able to vote for which decks you want to see released with the first big update, so I hope you look forward to it!! Also, please join the Dreamwidth community and the trading community, as you can get a head start on donating decks now, and we'll be posting prejoin games to the main community. Plus, please join the Discord if you haven't already - that's the best place to get updates as soon as they happen!

1. Module is semi-site based (this website!) and semi-Dreamwidth based. There's a nice collection of site games and automated services thanks to Stack CMS, but there is also a manual component on Dreamwidth; those systems and games are more collaborative and focused on working together with other players.
2. Prejoin is projected to be roughly 1 month long once we have all pending tasks cleared out.
3. When prejoin starts, you'll have the opportunity to donate decks that you'd like to see released in the game! There will be an increased donation limit for the prejoin period. You'll also have the opportunity to vote for which decks you'd like to see released with the first update. Normal deck releases at Module will be biweekly, so this is your chance to get a head start on collecting your favorites!
4. If you're interested in donating any collateral during prejoin - Voltage Meters, level banners, or affiliate banners - you'll get bonus cards for doing so to help us build up those pages.
5. We're looking for mods and deckmakers! If you're interested in applying for either of these roles, please let us know! There will be recruiting posts on the Dreamwidth community when we have a sense of how many staff members we'll need.
