Currency and Coupons

Currencies at Module are earned by playing games, using services, completing tasks, and as rewards for various activities around the site. Module has two main types of currencies used for shop purchases, album tasks, and other uses: shards and crystals.

Shards		Crystals
Shards are Module's general currency and are given out in sets of 5, typically earned by playing on-site games and using on-site services. They are primarily used for cosmetic purchases from the Shard Shop and can also be used for Album tasks. Shards are rewarded only through on-site games.		Crystals are a rarer currency. There are five kinds of crystals, each corresponding to a card element: neutral, cute, cool, elegant, and chaos. Random types of crystals are rewarded from games and services, and they can be used in the Synth Shop to buy choice cards or random cards of their respective elements.

Shards and crystals are not interchangeable - that is, you cannot use crystals to make shard purchases and you cannot use shards to make crystal purchases.

Coupons

Coupons are purchased with your gained shards on the on-site Shard Shop and can be redeemed for cosmetic purchases and additional unlocks! Once you purchase a coupon, the coupon will be added to your on-site inventory and the corresponding shards will be deducted from your account. Coupons are redeemed on the Synth Shop on the Dreamwidth community, where a staff member will reply with your redeemed rewards.

Coupons fall into two general types: unlocks and customs. Unlock coupons can be redeemed for rewards like extra Mylist slots, new Album decks, or unlocking Album deck cards of your choice. Custom coupons are used to request custom graphics made specifically for you, such as unique mastery badges for a deck you've mastered or to change your member card image.

Coupons can generally be purchased using your obtained shards from the Shard Shop, but some coupons can only be obtained from special events or giveaways. When using a coupon, you must include the snippet of logs with your purchases to confirm that you have obtained the coupon from the on-site shop.

There may also be limited-time coupons available from events or as rewards from the monthly game Concert Hall, so be on the lookout for these exclusive coupons!

Donate 1 Collaboration Deck (ucoupon-collaborationdeck)		Allows the holder to donate a collaboration deck - a deck of multiple characters centered around a single theme. Only 1 coupon can be used per month. You must link your logs for proof of obtaining this coupon when using it, and link it again when donating the images for the deck (to confirm it has not yet been used).	500 shards
Unlock +1 New Album Deck Slot (ucoupon-newalbumdeck)		Allows the holder to request a second or third Album deck. You may only use this coupon when you have fully unlocked your album, and you may only have up to 3 album decks total.	Available from special events only
Unlock +1 New Mylist Slot (ucoupon-newmylistslot)		Allows the holder to apply for another Mylist, above the 2 already allowed normally. You can have up to 3 Mylists active at once. This coupon must be used each time you wish to unlock your third slot - it is not permanent.	200 shards

You can request multiple badges for one deck, but only one will appear on your profile at a time. Custom badges can be requested on the Dreamwidth community.	200 shards
Request A New Member Card (ccoupon-newmembercard)		Allows the holder to request a new member card. You may only request 1 new member card every 6 months, but there is no limit to the amount of member cards you can have. Member card changes can be requested on the Dreamwidth community.	300 shards
