Voltage Meters

Voltage Meters are Module's system to track the amount of cards you've traded with other players - akin to stamp cards or trading sheets from other TCGs! Voltage Meters at Module fill out with 20 cards traded with other players, with every card counting for 5% on the meter. Once you trade 20 cards away, your Voltage Meter maxes out and you can turn your Voltage Meter for extra rewards!

Displaying Voltage Meters

Every Voltage Meter starts at 00% and maxes out at 100%. Each card traded away counts for 5%, continuing in increments of 5% to the max amount of Voltage (thus, Voltage Meters are complete with 20 cards traded away). Member cards, despite having no worth to your card count, do count for Voltage Meters. Additionally, gifts also count for Voltage Meter progress, but only for the player gifting the cards - the gifted player does not increase their voltage by receiving a card. Trading elemental crystals does not count.

Completed Voltage Meters can be redeemed directly on the website from the Voltage Rewards section on your Account page. The system will automatically count how many trades you have completed, according to your logs, and will allow you to trade in your Voltage Meters for rewards once you reach 20 trades. If your trades occurred off-site or via eTCG, you will need to add your trade log to your account to redeem those trade points on your Voltage Meter.

Once you add your external trade logs to your on-site logs, you can immediately redeem them for rewards and they'll be logged in your account automatically!

Voltage Meter Rewards

For every Voltage Meter you complete and turn in, you will receive 3 random cards, and 1 random elemental crystal. Plus, completed Voltage Meters will contribute toward Milestones and Album tasks, so aim to complete as many as possible!

Your current Voltage Meter progress can be displayed visually on your post by using a Voltage Meter if you choose! Voltage Meters are represented with a slowly-filling circle that increases with every card traded. Each Voltage Meter is 147x71 pixels in size and uses the prefix vm- in its filename. Voltage Meters made by players can be found on the Voltage Meter page of the Graphics section. If you'd like to donate Voltage Meter graphics, you may use the Voltage Meter template to make your own! Do note that the process may be a little complicated, but we encourage players to donate them if they wish. There is a complete guide to creating Voltage Meters on the [forums/dreamwidth community].

eTCG Easy Update

Voltage Meters are made of 21 different graphics - one for every five percentage points from 00% to 100%. All player-made Voltage Meters are saved on Module's Graphics section as a .zip file, which you can add to your images folder on your trade post. You can upload these images as one set and switch them out as you progress.

As Voltage Meters graphics are meant to be displayed in order as you continue to trade away cards, if you use eTCG to manage your trade post, you can update your Voltage Meter with a snippet of code using your eTCG's get_additional function, which will allow you to update your Voltage Meter's graphics without leaving eTCG! Please follow the steps listed in this text file.
