Cards and Decks
Module's regular decks are split up into several different card types:
module,
PV,
canvas, and
collaboration. All decks have 20 cards each, and all cards are worth
1 toward your card count.
Card Type | Donatable? |
 | Module decks are comprised of 20 individual cards of a single character or outfit (modules) worn by a Vocaloid character. They are named with the character or outfit in the name order of the original language with the transliteration of the character name or outfit (hatsunemiku, whiteeve, hanakotoba). | Yes! |
 | PV decks are comprised of 20 cards of a single promotional video (PV) for a Vocaloid song made by a producer or created for a Vocaloid game. They are arranged in rough chronological order of the video and form a slideshow of the video when completed. Decks for static PV images are instead arranged as a large puzzle of 20 individual cards that form a complete image when collected. They are named with the original Japanese name of the video or song in question (kimigairu, torinokocity, melt). | Yes! |
 | Canvas decks are comprised of 20 individual cards of a single large image. These can be official pieces of art drawn for or included in a Vocaloid game, commissioned art by Crypton, Sega, etc. They are named with a player-selected name that relates to the image. | Yes! |
 | Collaboration decks are comprised of 20 individual cards of multiple characters centered around a single theme, such as Magical Mirai concerts. These cards have a solid border in contrast to the dotted border of regular cards, and use two colors in their design - a deck name that matches the color palette of the images, and an outer border and element indicator that stays one consistent color for each element. | Yes, with a "donate a collaboration deck" coupon! |
Card Elements
All of Module's standard decks are categorized into one of five elements: neutral, cute, cool, elegant, or chaos. A card's element is determined by the overall theming of the module, song, or image featured in the deck. Each card or puzzle is labelled with an element icon in the bottom left that corresponds to its type.
Element Image | Element Description |
 | Neutral element cards are modules or songs that have a classic feel to them without much derivation. |
 | Cute element cards are modules or songs that are poppy, upbeat, or sweet. |
 | Cool element cards are modules or songs that are serious or harsh. |
 | Elegant element cards are modules or songs that are beautiful or extravagant with a regal theme. |
 | Chaos element cards are modules or songs that are quirky, strange, or humorous. |
Elements are relevant to several different gameplay features, such as
Mylists, Medleys, and
Album tasks. Each element has a corresponding
crystal currency; crystals can be earned as prizes in games/events, as rewards for leveling up or mastering decks, and for participating in various activities around the TCG. Crystals can be used in the
Shop to buy a choice card of that element - neutral crystals are used to buy neutral cards, cute crystals are used to buy cute cards, and so on.
Special Cards
There are three kinds of special card types that don't belong to a specific deck, but instead mark certain milestones or are custom images made for you as a player! These cards are each worth
0 toward your card count and use a prefix to distinguish themselves from other cards.
Card Type | Masterable? |
 | Member Cards are custom-made for each player upon joining, using an image of your choice! They are the same size as a regular card, and use the filename mc-Player. The element icon in the bottom left indicates the player's status - prejoiner (treble clef) or regular member (quarter note). Each player has unlimited copies of their member card and they can be freely traded with other players, but only for other member cards. Once made, the image used for the card is set, unless the player uses a coupon to change the image. If the image is changed, the old member card is retired and a number will be appended onto the filename of the new card (mc-Player2). | Yes, in sets of 10. See "Special Masteries" below! |
 | Event Cards are achievement or milestone cards gained by being a member/active at Module during special events! Event cards cannot be traded with other players - they're akin to trophies that display the different activities you've taken part in at Module. They have the prefix event- appended to the beginning of their filename, and have an eighth note in the element indicator space. Event cards are also displayed on your site profile. | Yes, in sets of 10. See "Special Masteries" below! |
 | Milestones are special cards that mark achievements you've earned as a player. They have an image of your choosing and use your player name as a prefix. Milestone cards cannot be traded and cannot be mastered; they merely show off special things you've done as a player or how you've contributed to Module! For a complete list of current milestone achievements, view the milestone page. | No! |
Mastering Decks
After you collect all cards in a deck, you have "mastered" that deck! Once a deck is mastered, you can no longer trade the cards used for that mastery away; they are permanent fixtures of your trade post. For regular decks, you will also earn a mastery badge that you can display on your trade post. The mastery badge will also be listed on your site profile.
Regular Masteries | | Special Masteries |
Mastering module, PV, puzzle, or collaboration decks will earn you 1 choice card, 4 random cards, 20 shards, and 1 random elemental crystal. Plus, your name will be included on the list of players who have mastered a deck on that deck's card page! You can only master a deck once, but you can use duplicate cards in Medleys even after you have mastered a deck. | | You can also "master" special collections of cards like member cards or event cards. Once you earn 10 unique event cards or 10 unique member cards, you can turn your collection in for a reward. The types cannot be mixed. Special masteries do not have a unique badge, but they come with a reward of 6 random cards and 2 random elemental crystals. Your own member card does count, but it can only be used for a special mastery once. |
